SAMARPANA - A charitable registered society founded to promote the cause and welfare of the deprived classes of the society including Mentally Challenged and Spastics (Multiple Handicap). It was inaugurated in the year 1995, under the Presidentship of Dr. R. Nanjundarao, founded by Mr. B.M. Sridhar and Mrs. K.Bhavani with administrative committee, executive committee and advisory committee members in the board.

Samarpana has given life to 45 mentally retarded and Spastics (Residential care and Day- Care Facility) Children and grown Ups from the age group of 3 years to 65 years, all of them are, discarded by their aged parents, or siblings.

Training

Samarpana is training the Mentally challenged persons in their activities of daily living (Toileting, Bathing, Brushing, Dressing, Drinking, Eating etc.,)

It provides training in Functional Academics (Reading, Writing, Copying, Number, Time, Money Concept and Community Orientation etc.,)

It gives training in Prevocational and vocational skills like Candle Making, Paper Bags Making, Instant Sambarani Making, Greeting Cards Making, Gardening, Training in Household works and recreational activities.

Moto of Samarpana

Samarpana plans to do all the activities on a permanent basis without any time limit, since these will provide training and livelihood for the Mentally Challenged and Spastics children, and grownups of our home, who will remain with us for the rest of their lives.

In short, Samarpana trying to train these children to live after all there is a difference between “Existing” and “living”.

Our Caring Hearts Team Members Newton N, Remold, Rajagopal, Aravinth and Naveen visited Samarpana on 14th March 2009 and issued Toys and Provisions worth of Rs 13500.
