About Amaithi Illam:

Amaithi Illam has been functioning since 1994 taking care of orphans , destitues and Tsunami affected children.

Objective:

To make somebody out of nobody, there by giving a sense of identity and individuality. To provide nourishment, shelter and education. To teach them discipline and values, which will make them good citizens in the future.

To give love, affection and care to the destitute and thus enable them to experience togetherness of a home and family.

Founder and Home Info:

Victor and Unice started Amaithi Illam (Unit of Morning Star Social Development Society) with 5 orphan children. Amaithi Illam is now the house for 56 children (35 Girls and 21 Boys) age group varying from 4-19 years(Tsunami Affected -1,Taken from street -4,Orphans – 17,Destitutes -4,Semi orphans -30)

Food for Amaithi Illam children is prepared by separate cook and 3 staffs are taking care of all the children.

Food products like Jam, Juice and Protein powder with Brand name “Nice” are produced and marketed by Victor & Unice in major cities of Tamilnadu. Amaithi Illam is functioning with the revenue generated by this business and by the support of generous and kind hearted people.

All children of Amaithi Illam are provided proper education and few children have successfully completed their graduation and are well placed in reputated firms.

Children are studying in the below mentioned schools nearby Amaithi Illam:

Goodwill High Sec School, Kumaran Matriculation, Singaram Pillai High Sec School and Sidco Nagar Girls High Sec School.

What Caring Hearts did for Amaithi Illam

We have provided uniform for 27 boys and 14 girls.

Medicines sufficient for 1 month, 2 fans, Crackers worth Rs .9922 were also provided.

We celebrated Diwali with Amaithi Illam children by bursting crackers and distributing sweets.

Our Caring Hearts Team Members participated in the service are Thiagharajan, Deepika, Rajalakshmi and Newton .

 
This month, we also got an opportunity to donate college fees Rs.3200 to Mr.Rajesh.R, Computer Science department (final year), Gojan school of business and technology.This is co-ordinated by our Caring Hearts Team member Muthulakshmi.
