Annai Illam steadily got reputation among different domestic and corporate people whose helping hands supported by providing financial support for leading the day to day life, as the entire Annai Illam is solely dependent on the public contribution. Annai Illam very soon like Annai Fathima Child Welfare Centre became a recognized NGO for providing social service at free of cost. Nearly 50 senior citizens have been nursed and taken care today by Mrs.Rani Krishnan. Each senior citizen being admitted at the Illam have different story for their negligence and each one is a heart choking one.
Accommodation:
The home is functioning in a rented building which does not provide sufficient place for accommodation, we try to give all basic amenities available to the inmates. Round the clock watch is made by the staff for the provision of these facilities without hindrance.
Food:
Food for the elder persons are prepared by separate experienced cook. The nearby Dietitian/ Nutritionist are often consulted in preparing nutritious diet and most care is being taken in the way of preparation. The Secretary herself personally tastes their food everyday before its distribution.
Health:
Periodical medical officer’s visit has been arranged as a permanent arrangement. Besides this outside medical officers, clinical attendance is also utilized on emergency times thereby all the inmates feel safety on the health care, which carried out by few social minded doctors.
Entertainment:
Television set has been provided for the viewing of the elders. A FM Radio has also been provided. Elder person are enjoying by listening good carnatic, Hindustani music program and make themselves comfortable.
